## About

Leicester Cathedral, the Cathedral Church of St Martin, was raised to cathedral status in 1927. It became internationally famous in 2015 as the final resting place of King Richard III, whose remains were discovered beneath a Leicester car park in 2012 and reinterred in the cathedral with a state ceremony attended by members of the Royal Family.
