## About

St Michael & All Angels in Bude was built between 1834 and 1835 to serve the growing port and seaside resort, replacing an earlier chapel of ease in the parish of Stratton. Constructed of local Cornish granite in the Gothic Revival style and substantially enlarged in 1876, the church stands on Burn View overlooking the Atlantic coast and the famous Bude breakwater. It remains an active Anglican parish in the Diocese of Truro, with strong links to Bude's surfing and lifeboat communities.
