Westminster Abbey is one of the United Kingdom's most significant religious and historic buildings. Officially the Collegiate Church of Saint Peter at Westminster, it has been the coronation church of English and British monarchs since William the Conqueror in 1066, and is the burial place of seventeen sovereigns.
