About Arundel Cathedral
Arundel Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of Our Lady and St Philip Howard, serving the Catholic Diocese of Arundel and Brighton. Designed by Joseph Hansom in French Gothic style, the church opened in 1873 and became a cathedral in 1965. Its present dedication dates from 1973, following Philip Howard’s canonisation. The cathedral overlooks Arundel in West Sussex and is known for its annual Corpus Christi carpet of flowers.
