The Roman Catholic Cathedral for the Diocese of Aberdeen, the Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption is a graceful Gothic revival building designed by Alexander Ellis and consecrated in 1860. Located on Huntly Street in Aberdeen city centre, it is the mother church of the Diocese of Aberdeen and the spiritual home for Catholic communities across northeast Scotland.
