About Doncaster Minster
The Minster and Parish Church of St George, Doncaster, was rebuilt by Sir George Gilbert Scott between 1854 and 1858 after the medieval church was destroyed by fire. It is widely regarded as one of Scott's finest Gothic Revival works and one of the most impressive parish churches in northern England. It was designated a Minster in 2004 in recognition of its civic and ecclesiastical importance.

What is worship in this tradition usually like?
Anglican (Church of England) worship follows the rhythm of the Book of Common Prayer and Common Worship. Sunday services often range from a said early-morning Holy Communion to a main mid-morning Sung Eucharist or Morning Prayer, and many parishes hold Choral Evensong later in the day. Services blend set liturgy, hymns, Scripture readings and a sermon. Everyone is welcome, whether you are exploring faith or returning to church.
This describes the wider tradition. The format at this particular church may vary.
