About Northampton Cathedral
Northampton Cathedral is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Northampton, which covers Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk — one of the largest Catholic dioceses in England by area. Designed by Augustus Welby Pugin and his son Edward Pugin, it was consecrated in 1864 and is a fine example of Gothic Revival Catholic architecture.
