About Saints Peter and Paul
Cathedral Church of St Barnabas in Nottingham is the Roman Catholic cathedral for the Diocese of Nottingham. Designed by A.W.N. Pugin and consecrated in 1844 — the same year as Pugin's Newcastle Cathedral — it was one of the architect's landmark achievements in the Gothic Revival. St Barnabas serves as the mother church for Catholics across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
