About St Pancras New Church
St Pancras Church on Euston Road — known as St Pancras New Church to distinguish it from the medieval St Pancras Old Church — was built in 1819–22 to designs by William and Henry William Inwood and is the earliest Greek Revival church in London. Its terracotta caryatids were modelled on the Erechtheion in Athens, and the crypt now houses the Crypt Gallery. Today it is a welcoming and inclusive Anglican parish serving Euston, Bloomsbury and Somers Town, with daily prayer, a strong choral tradition and free lunchtime recitals.
