About The Holy Name Catholic Church
The Holy Name Catholic Church on Oxford Road in Manchester is one of the most celebrated Catholic buildings in the North West. Designed by Joseph Hansom (inventor of the Hansom cab) and consecrated in 1871, its soaring Gothic interior is one of the finest Victorian ecclesiastical buildings in England. Located on the university corridor, it serves students, staff and residents of the Rusholme and Chorlton-on-Medlock area.
