About Newman House Catholic Chaplancy
Newman House Catholic Chaplaincy on Harrisons Road in Edgbaston is the Catholic chaplaincy for the University of Birmingham, part of a network of university chaplaincies across the UK. Named after Cardinal John Henry Newman, the Victorian theologian who converted to Catholicism and was canonised in 2019, the chaplaincy provides Mass, pastoral care and community for Catholic students and staff at one of the UK's leading research universities.
